We thank God for His love and kindness that my wife was able to conceive a child. We want to share our story what Jesus has done for us. This was how it began:

My wife and I (Meilina, Andreas), were married on December 9 2006 in Tabernacle Family Church. Like any young couples, we planned to build a happy family, have children, a house, and so on. But before we got married, my wife used to complain that she often suffered abdominal pains. We thought that was nothing serious, maybe it was just gas or heartburn. But the symptom was repeating more often and became regular. In August 2006, when we went back to our hometown, Cirebon, my wife (she was my fiancée then) went to see a doctor to do some check-up for her stomach pain. The doctor asked if she was pregnant, because apparently there was a small lump in her womb and the doctor recommended a scan (USG) for better explanation.

When we got back to Jakarta, we went to see a gynaecologist, dr. AL, who then told us that Meilina had fibroids or leiomyoma (a benign growth of muscle tissues) in her womb about 10 cm long. Because we didn't understand any better, this made us worried even more. Dr. AL offered a surgery to remove the fibroids considering of the size. We wanted a second opinion and saw the second doctor in Kelapa Gading. After the examination, we came to the same result that the fibroids must be removed before getting pregnant, the fact that fibroids may be associated with infertility, made it more difficult.

Then we decided to continue to see dr. AL for regular check ups until January 8, 2007, the day of the surgery. We had been praying for God's kindness so the surgery would went well. However, after the surgery we found out that the fibroids were not completely gone and so we went to see dr. AL. He explained that the location of the big size fibroids were among the blood vessels and it was too risky to remove. Therefore, dr. AL could only remove the small size fibroids. This was shocking. We finally realized that we depended too much on human.

We gave all our problems to God, besides consuming traditional medicine such as jamu, we also went to see Pastor Handoyo for counseling. He (Pastor Handoyo) said not to worry, that God would give us a child and he also encouraged us to find another doctor. We prayed for God's help to find us a new doctor. Finally God led us to dr. SP, a gynecologist, in Pantai Indah Kapuk Hospital, who specializes in cyst and fibroids.

Again, we did the examination with dr. SP and he also recommended us to remove the fibroids due to the fast growing fibroids in my wife's womb than what he expected. We were worried and felt hopeless. We thought 'why God?' But we remembered what Pastor Handoyo said that we couldn't give up and just surrendered to God. We prayed to God because we faced a dead end and only God had the answer.

My wife chose not to go for another surgery, so we prayed that God would let her got pregnant then the surgery. On July 2007, during the Holy Communion, Evangelist Handoyo Salim prayed for anyone who desired becoming pregnant that God would open her womb. That moment, my wife really believed and prayed that she would get pregnant that same month of July. PRAISE THE LORD! A week later my wife was really pregnant.

Dr.SP could not believe when he found out that my wife was indeed pregnant, because by then the fibroids had grown into 12 cm long. We thanked the Lord that our prayer was answered. However, dr. SP advised us to take good care of the pregnancy because of the fibroids in the womb. We prayed everyday that every month our baby would grow healthy. We know that in the Bible, there is the story of prophet Samuel whose parents also had been expecting for a child, and we believe that our baby will grow up to become like prophet Samuel. We will do our best to take care of him, guide him, and pray that God will use him since he is young of age to glorify God's Name.

On Sunday, March 30, 2008 at 19:27 PM, our baby, Javier Ebenezer Sudarta, was born with the Cesarean surgery. Ebenezer means the rock of help that God has always been there to help us until today. Praise the Lord, we thank God for His kindness. We know that there is nothing impossible with Jesus and He will turn everything for our good in the right time. At the last check up, the fibroids in my wife's womb had been getting smaller to 9 cm long, and we are still praying that they will be gone completely, totally free from fibroids because it is our desire to have another child.
